DC 35 welcomes new members and makes every effort to accommodate brothers and sisters who want to become part of the organization. The old belief that keeping the union small so that a few members would get maximum benefits is long gone. DC 35 leaders and members understand that only by reaching out and increasing our numbers will we achieve our greatest bargaining strength. Becoming a member opens up a whole new world for many individuals, with benefits and wages that truly reward hard work.

For journeymen and women the process is simple. Getting employment with a union signatory employer is the key. In our union workers seek their own employment. We do not function as a hiring hall. Once employed you must become a member of the union within 7 days. A new member will be initiated into a local union as close to home as possible so that attendance at local union meetings is easier.
